Dr. Alvina Lim is a fourth generation dentist. Born in California and raised in Indonesia, she was exposed to a variety of cultures at an early age. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee and her dental degree from Loma Linda University in California.

After graduating from a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, she worked in New York for two years as a general practitioner. Dr. Shiva Basir is a board certified pediatric dentist who believes that dentistry should be a fun experience for children. Her goal is to provide the best care to her young patients in a gentle way while ensuring good oral health habit formation by providing support and guidance to patients and their parents.

Shiva graduated from Columbia University with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. She completed her post doctoral education in general practice at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. While in practice as a general dentist, she discovered her joy and natural ability to work with children and decided to continue her education in pediatric dentistry. She received an additional 2 years of post doctoral training specializing in pediatric dentistry at Saint Joseph’s Regional Hospital in Paterson, NJ.

Azariy Yusupov, DDS, is an experienced orthodontist at Amazing Smiles Orthodontics, serving individuals and families at three locations in the New York City area, Mill Basin, Brooklyn; Forest Hills, Queens; and Five Towns in Cedarhurst, Long Island.

Dr. Yusupov began his career pursuits at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in Stony Brook, New York, earning his dental degree. 

Before entering private practice, he completed a three-year specialty program in orthodontics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark. Dr. Zohar Peker graduated from New York University, with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2009, and then completed a 1 year general dentistry residency program at Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Peker has been practicing since 2010, focusing on general and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Lizette Castillo received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Stony Brook - College of Dentistry. She is a Long Beach native, having graduated from Long Beach High School. She received a Bachelor's of Science from Stony Brook in Biology. She discovered her passion for dentistry when she was in college at Stony Brook, and started volunteering at Stony Brook Dental School. It was there that she saw the need for oral education and treatment. She also took on an internship in Temple Dental in summer of 2015 where she served inner city areas in North Philadelphia. There she was exposed to translating and helping patients with understanding their treatments. Before coming to Lasante Dental as a dentist, Dr. Castillo completed two years of residency at Jamaica Hospital- School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Castillo participated in the Stony Brook Outreach- South Dakota where she provided dental care for patients in need on an Indian reservation. She was part of a dental team that saw and treated patients that were mostly edentulous.

In addition to practicing, Dr. Castillo also enjoys serving the Fordham community with Fordham Community Church, the Hispanic Baptist Association of NY and NJ and serving in dental mission trips, she has already travelled Ecuador, Uruguay, Cuba, and Puerto Rico.

Dr. Farha Zibak received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry, after which she completed her General Dentistry residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.
