Kylie Simmons, DPD is a passionate Licensed Denturist at Northwest Dental Services & Dental Implant Center in Tacoma and Lakewood, Washington.
Kylie Simmons has been a licensed denturist since 2019, and has worked in dental for over 15 total years. In 2020, Kylie earned a Denturist Associate's degree at Bates Technical College in Tacoma, Washington. Prior to completing the college's Denturist Program, Kylie earned an Associate's Degree in 2013 in Dental Assisting from Carrington College in Portland, Oregon, where students learn about the anatomy of the human mouth and different types of dental procedures.
Kylie also trained to be Efda (Expanded Function DentalAssistant) certified.
Before attending Carrington College, Kylie studied Public Health at Portland State University, a public research university in Portland, Oregon. Kylie was also an active member of the school's Snowboarding Team. Go Viks!
Professional experience in the industry began at Willamette Dental Group in Portland, Oregon, working as a Dental Assistant and Dental Technician, and created appliances, dentures, partials, and flippers and learned the in-and-out of the anatomy of the oral cavity, including how the teeth are positioned to make a flawlessly functioning appliance.
Every mouth is different, so each case took time, persistence, and care.
In 2017 and 2018, Kylie worked as a Patient Care Advocate, Dental Assistant, and Denturist Extern at Willamette Dental Group. In 2021 Kylie worked as a Licensed Denturist at Apple Valley Dental & Braces in Yakima, Washington. Currently, Kylie is delighted to be working at Northwest Dental Services & Dental Implant Center.
Outside of work and providing patients with top-tier dental care, Kylie is passionate about animal welfare, arts and culture, disaster and humanitarian relief, education, environment, health, human rights, social services, and children.
In her spare time, Kylie enjoys hanging out with her two dogs, Bleu and Rusty, and snowboarding.

To say that dentistry is in Megan Charron's blood wouldn’t be an understatement. Megan became the third generation of Charrons to enter the field when she received her denturist license in August 2015. Megan has been working full-time at Northwest Dental Services & Dental Implant Center in Tacoma and Lakewood, Washington, ever since.
Megan graduated in 2014 from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, with a major in Human Development. Throughout her high school and college career, Megan worked at the family business, honing her skills and learning the family trade.
Megan enjoys continuing the family tradition of helping and serving the community. In her free time, Megan loves to spend time with her cat, Percy.

Residency- and fellowship-trained in TMJ, orofacial pain disorders, and dental sleep medicine, Jason Pehling, DDS, MS, has a dental practice limited to the treatment of TMD, facial pain and dental sleep medicine at the TMJ Orofacial Disorders Center in Seattle. He specializes in temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), orofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine.
Dr. Pehling is a Northwest native and attended the Bellevue Christian School where he was a two-time state wrestling champion. Dr. Pehling obtained an athletic scholarship and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon. Additionally he received a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the prestigious University of California, San Francisco. Following that, he completed a Master of Science, an NIH sponsored Postdoctoral Pain Fellowship, and a residency in TMJ and orofacial pain from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Pehling is board-certified by the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Pehling is a featured expert in the local and national media. Dr. Pehling was the first dentist in the Northwest trained in the use of the Biomet Ultrathin TMJ Arthroscope and the use of Botox® injections for the treatment of bruxism and jaw and facial pain. In his over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Pehling has placed over 6000 functional oral appliances.
Dr. Pehling has had numerous publications, research grants and awards, including multiple years as the Best Dentist Seattle Magazine Award, and the Best Dentist Seattle Metropolitan Magazine Award.
Active in his field, Dr. Pehling is a fellow of several prestigious organizations, such as the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. He is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Dental Association, the Washington Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Association. He is on the board of Directors for theAmerican Board of Craniofacial Pain.
Away from the dental office, Dr. Pehling enjoys active outdoor activities with his family, such as stand-up paddle boarding, waterskiing, snow skiing, and mountaineering.
