Dr. Philip Worthington grew up just outside of our nation’s capital in Fairfax, VA. Dr. Worthington’s journey to dentistry and orthodontics has been unusual and rich. Following graduation from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Dr. Worthington received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the same institution. He worked for two years as a corporate attorney at a large law firm in Philadelphia, PA before deciding to apply to dental school.
After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Worthington joined the United States Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Scott AFB in Belleville, IL. He practiced for four years as a general dentist at the Travis AFB military hospital in Northern California. Following his military service commitment, Dr. Worthington moved to North Carolina and completed his Orthodontic Residency at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill in May 2020, receiving a Masters in Oral Biology.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Worthington enjoys finding new adventures to share with his three children. He is a proud resident of Durham and a fan of coffee and college athletics.
Dr. Rapolla grew up on the Pacific island of Guam and received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of California- San Diego. After working as a dental assistant for a year, he attended the UCLA School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
While in Los Angeles, Dr. Rapolla was a part of many dental mission trips to Mexico which ignited his passion for pediatric dentistry. He went on to receive his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He met his wife, Sandi, in Dallas, and worked in private practice before deciding to expand his knowledge in orthodontics and graduating from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, traveling, cooking, and being outdoors.
Dr. Renate Soltmann brings her extensive experience to the team at MyOrthodontist. She sees patients out of the practice’s Chapel Hill, North Carolina, location.
Dr. Soltmann, a native of Germany, has lived in the Triangle area since 1979. After graduating with degrees in chemistry and microbiology, she received her DDS degree from the UNC School of Dentistry.
Upon completion of her orthodontic residency from the UNC School of Dentistry, she joined the faculty at UNC Department of Orthodontics for two years. She has been treating patients in Raleigh since 1991 in her own private practice.
Concurrently, Dr. Soltmann has also been serving as adjunct faculty in the UNC Department of Orthodontics, where her main focus is the orthodontic treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cleft lip and palate.
Dr. Soltmann is an award-winning quilter. When she doesn’t sit at her sewing machine, she loves to read and participate in citizen science projects. She has two adult sons, both of whom inherited her interest in science and are aerospace engineers. Dr. Soltmann is excited about being in Roanoke Rapids and Greensboro and is looking forward to meeting everyone.

Dr. Hunter Neill is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with highest honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and later went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree where he finished in the top of his class. He completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado Denver earning both a Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Master of Science Degree.
Dr. Neill spent his first few years after training as an associate working in the Philadelphia area. He attends yearly continuing education courses at the Orthodontic National Convention and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontics, as well as several regional and local professional organizations.
Dr. Neill was recently married and is moving to North Carolina to build a family and practice closer to home. He cherishes the time he can spend with his family and friends as well as numerous outdoor activities including snow skiing, waterskiing, hiking, climbing and whitewater rafting.
Dr. Gisela Borget was born in Jalisco, Mexico. She was raised in Utah and attended the University of Utah for her undergraduate studies and went on to receive her D.D.S. from the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill.
After dental school Dr. Borget completed an orthodontic residency and earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Iowa. Dr. Borget is happily married and enjoys her three children: two girls and a boy.
When not practicing orthodontics, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Borget speaks Spanish fluently and is very excited to work with families in the Burgaw area.
Robert L. Walker, DMD, was born and raised in Idaho, where he grew up fishing, hunting, and boating. Now, he works with his daughter as part of the Tarheel State’s premier father-daughter-run dental practice. At Loveland Dental Group, with its six locations in Concord, Winston-Salem, High Point, Cornelius, Deep River and Mooresville, North Carolina, Dr. Walker regularly helps patients achieve their ideal smiles with individualized treatment plans.
Dr. Walker attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, and was later accepted into the Oregon Health Sciences School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. Before attending dental school, Dr. Walker married his high school sweetheart with whom he has five children and 10 grandchildren.
After dental school, Dr. Walker served in the U.S. Navy as a dentist, where he was stationed in San Diego, California, for much of that time. After his service in the military, both he and his wife wished to return to their roots in Idaho. Dr. Walker ran a successful practice in Rexburg, Idaho, for over 35 years. When his daughter, Jennifer Loveland, DMD, graduated from dental school, they wanted to practice dentistry together. They made the trek to the south and have loved the Carolinas with its rich culture and beautiful scenery.
His patients have come to appreciate his compassion coupled with his broad range of experience in dentistry. He has always loved performing a variety of procedures, including wisdom teeth extraction, root canals, cosmetic treatments, and orthodontics. No matter what the procedure is, his disarming sense of humor and calming demeanor helps put patients at ease.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Walker loves being outside — whether it’s camping, fishing, or hiking — and spending time with his family.
Dr. Baghaie grew up in southeast Michigan, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Detroit Mercy. She began her dental education at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was an active member of the Psi Omega fraternity, and served on the district board for the American Dental Student Association for all four years.
After receiving her Doctorate in Dental Medicine, Dr. Baghaie completed a General Practice Residency at Akron City Hospital, where she received additional training with medically complex patients and interdisciplinary cases. Dr. Baghaie currently lives in Mooresville with her two kitties, Lily and Southington. In her free time, Dr. Baghaie enjoys being on the lake and hiking in the mountains.

Dr. Runde is originally from Fishers, Indiana, where she was born and raised. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University with high distinction and majored in human biology. With a love of the arts, including ceramics and painting, and an interest in the medical field, she realized that dentistry is the perfect mix of her passions.
After graduating, she started a new chapter in Charleston, South Carolina to pursue her dental education. She immediately matriculated into dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated in 2020.
Dr. Runde is passionate about understanding the specific circumstances that shape each patient’s experience in the dental chair and providing care in the most relaxed way possible. One of her favorite aspects of dentistry is taking a nervous patient and transforming their experience into something positive. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Runde enjoys exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her partner, Zach, and their dog, Maya.
