Dr. Wood was born and raised in Santa Monica. She began her professional education at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology. She subsequently enrolled at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in Los Angeles and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2003.
During her time at USC, Dr. Wood regularly served underprivileged communities in California’s Central Valley as well as in Belize, Costa Rica, and Mexico. This work didn’t go unnoticed either; upon graduation, Dr. Wood received the Humanitarian Award for her service.
Since entering private practice, Dr. Wood has worked to establish close relationships with her patients. Kevin Burns, MD, is an interventional radiologist at Minimally Invasive Medical Group, which has offices in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Irvine, California. He holds board certification in interventional radiology and offers specialized care in less invasive, image-led treatments at Providence Mission Hospital and Leonard Cancer Institute. He specializes in genicular artery embolization and genicular nerve ablation for the treatment of conditions such as arthritis pain and frozen shoulder, and as an alternative to surgical procedures such as knee replacement.
Additionally, Dr. Burns excels in techniques such as tumor embolization and ablation for cancer care and also provides relief from pain associated with bone tumors. Dr. Moayeri is also an attorney and received his JD degree from Southwestern School of Law. Besides serving as an expert witness in court cases, he has lectured in legal aspects of dentistry.
He is an active member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and American Bar Association.
On a personal level, he enjoys traveling, photography, and snow skiing, as well as being the favorite uncle to his five lovely nieces.
