Alicia Schraner, DDS, was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, then moved to New York City to attend college. New York is where you’ll still find her today, practicing general and cosmetic dentistry at Yonkers Dental Arts in Yonkers, just north of New York City in Westchester County.
Dr. Schraner attended New York University for her undergraduate studies in biology, then remained at NYU for dental school. While in dental school, she worked at NYU’s Dental Faculty Practice, a progressive dental center that offers comprehensive dental services from a large team of dentists, endodontists, oral surgeons, and other dental professionals from NYU’s College of Dentistry. She was also involved with NYU’s dental outreach programs and awarded honors in aesthetic dentistry.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Schraner completed her general dentistry residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she treated children, adults, and special-needs patients.

While at NYUCD, Dr. Malkis did humanitarian work by providing underserved people in Nicaragua with dental care.
In addition to his work as a dentist, Dr. Malkis has broad experience in teaching and research. He spent a year as a tutor for first-year dental students in the Head and Neck Anatomy course at NYUCD, and also as a teaching assistant for first-year dental students in the General Dentistry Simulation I Clinic.
