I am Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Master Addictions Counselor, and DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Professional. I have over ten years of experience working in substance use treatment. I have provided care in residential/inpatient, detox, outpatient, medication assisted (Suboxone and Methadone), and outpatient settings. I also provide psychotherapy for a variety of issues.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also provide services for those who have DOT Violations or DUI/DWI cases.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, holistic, and integrated. I carefully craft my treatment approach for each client to ensure effectiveness. I am compassionate and believe that everyone should be treated with respect and understanding. Amy is a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in assisting clients with identifying their strengths in addressing issues which threaten a client?s successful navigation of life?s challenges. Amy has been a Master Social Worker (MSW) for 19 years, serving clients from childhood to geriatric in a wide range of settings including psychiatric inpatient hospital, community services boards addressing addressing substance use, home visiting for families with infants, as well as independently referred outpatients and corporate employees on both local and national levels.
I strive to provide a space of non-judgment and openness for my clients. I previously worked at Upper Bay Counseling for 3 years where I worked with a wide variety of people and issues. I'm always working to adapt to the person in front of me, adjusting techniques and focus as needed. I consider my approach to be collaborative, strength based, and trauma informed.
