Experiencing a change in your life that results in needing someone to talk to is simply being human & it does not make you "crazy.” The reality of this statement is that anyone of us at any moment are vulnerable to a change in our mental health. It could be from an injury, an illness, a death, drugs, alcohol, a relationship, environmental issues or a genetic precursor that has been lingering for the right stressor to trigger its appearance. Most people can benefit from mental health services and use therapy to transcend their current coping skills and thoughts about themselves while improving relationships with those around them. Therapy enriches, teaches, and encourages a person to use themselves as a tool to their own wellbeing. I believe in therapy & if a person is open to exploring themselves that real change can occur. I use a blend of approaches during therapy because I cannot say that each person is one size fits all. I believe in individualized treatment.
I am Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Master Addictions Counselor, and DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Professional. I have over ten years of experience working in substance use treatment. I have provided care in residential/inpatient, detox, outpatient, medication assisted (Suboxone and Methadone), and outpatient settings. I also provide psychotherapy for a variety of issues.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also provide services for those who have DOT Violations or DUI/DWI cases.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, holistic, and integrated. I carefully craft my treatment approach for each client to ensure effectiveness. I am compassionate and believe that everyone should be treated with respect and understanding. My experience working in emergency services, psychiatric services, trauma services, court services, and military services has given me the skills and knowledge to help people from all walks of life.
“This program is very positive and really takes the time to building your character and your needs as individual to help better your life. Thank you for your help!”

I chose to go into the counseling profession to help others who struggle with addiction or mental health disorders. I am passionate about providing empathetic support while delivering high quality patient care. There was a time that I struggled with my own addiction and mental health issues. When I finally got sober, my goal was to help others who share those struggles. I am now nearing my 12th year of sobriety and look forward to continuing my passion of working to help others. Some of the things I enjoy outside of work include spending time with my family, raising chickens, growing my own vegetables, and developing my spiritual relationship with God.
