T. Cristina Sardinha, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified surgeon on the team at Progressive Surgical Care, an exceptional surgery practice with locations in Manhasset Hills in New Hyde Park and the Lindenwood area in Howard Beach, New York. She specializes in general surgery and colorectal surgery.
Dr. Sardinha was born, raised, educated, and trained in Brazil. She earned her medical degree from Bahian School of Medicine and Public Health and completed residencies in general and trauma surgery at the University of Sao Paulo, including working under the leadership of internationally renowned colorectal surgeon Dr. Angelita Habr-Gama.
Dr. Sardinha eventually relocated to the United States and completed a research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic campus in Florida and a general surgery chief residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, New York. She returned to the Cleveland Clinic in Florida for a clinical fellowship in colorectal surgery under the leadership of Dr. Steven Wexner.
With more than 20 years of experience as a surgeon, Dr. Sardinha is highly regarded in her field. She’s certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, has authored numerous publications, and frequently speaks at international surgical conferences.
She is president-elect for the New York Surgical Society and will be the second female president ever in the oldest, most prestigious surgical organization in the country. She’s admired by her peers, is the doctor’s doctor, and has won numerous awards for surgical education.

Babak (Bobby) Eghbalieh, MD, serves patients at the premier aesthetics and wellness practice, BSN Regenerative Institute, located in Sherman Oaks, California.
Dr. Eghbalieh finished his undergraduate degree at University Of California, Irvine, and completed his medical degree at the Sackler School Of Medicine through Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel. He returned to the United States to complete his internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and then his residency in general surgery at Fresno Medical Center in Fresno, California, through University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Eghbalieh furthered his medical training in pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.
Having spent the last decade as academic faculty at UCSM’s department of surgery, Dr. Eghbalieh is now an associate clinical professor of surgery at the university. During his tenure at UCSF, he has served in many roles including Vice-Chair of Surgery, Director of Robotic Surgery, Co-Director of the HPB & GI Oncology, Cancer Liaison Physician (CLP) to the Commission of Cancer, Chair of the Cancer Committee, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee at the Community Medical Centers (CMC) in Fresno, California.
Currently, Dr. Eghbalieh is the Director of Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery and the Director of Robotic Surgery at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center (PHCMC) in Mission Hills, California. He also serves as the Chair of the Cancer Committee and Cancer Liaison Physician for the cancer program at PHCMC. Throughout his years of experience, he’s developed an amazing passion for taking care of patients with cancer, providing state-of-the-art treatments and a personalized, multidisciplinary plan of care.
He’s been recognized with a number of awards, including the American Cancer Society 2012 Physician Innovation Award for his work with pancreatic cancer patients; the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s 2015 Man of the Year for Central California, and the Outstanding Leadership Award in 2017 for his role in the CMC Cancer Committee. His passion for treating pancreatic cancer patients also led him to serve as the Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Executive Leadership Committee for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN). Dr. Eghbalieh currently oversees and runs the only pancreatic cancer patient support group in the San Fernando Valley and one of three in all of Los Angeles.
Dr. Eghbalieh has been very active in teaching the next generation of surgeons. He also has contributed to multiple research publications, abstracts, presentations at national meetings, and book chapters. To better serve those in his community, Dr. Eghbalieh is fluent in Persian, Spanish, Arabic, and English.

Farshid Araghizadeh, MD, MBA, FASCRS,is a board certified Colon & Rectal Surgeon with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants (TDDC) & The GI Alliance (TGIA), the largest digestive diseases practice in the world. Dr. Araghizadeh’s practice is in Fort Worth, Texas, and focuses on minimally invasive and robotic approaches to all colorectal disorders including colon and rectal cancer, colon polyps, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis), diverticulitis, as well as complex hernia repairs and abdominal wall reconstruction. Dr. Araghizadeh also expertly treats all anorectal conditions including rectal prolapse, hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, rectocele, and other conditions.
Dr. Araghizadeh earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. He completed General Surgery training at the University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and completed his Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to joining TDDC/TGIA in January 2019, Dr. Araghizadeh served as Professor and Chief of Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at his alma mater, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, for more than a decade, from 2008-2019.
Dr. Araghizadeh is an active member (Diplomate) of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Araghizadeh serves on the Medical City - Alliance Hospital Robotic Surgery, Surgical Advisory, and Professional Practice Evaluation Committees. He is an associate examiner for the American Board of Surgery Certifying (Oral) Examination. Dr. Araghizadeh is also a past President of the Texas Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

Marc E. Sher, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified general surgeon and colorectal surgeon on a team of providers at Progressive Surgical Care in Manhasset Hills, in New Hyde Park, in the Lindenwood area and Howard Beach, New York. Dr. Sher’s passion is surgery and particularly, colon and rectal surgery.
He served as president of the most prestigious surgical society in the country, “The New York Surgical Society” as well as the New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. His group offers specialized care in the treatment of general and colorectal surgical issues in Nassau and Queens county.
Dr. Sher is a New York City native who was born in Brooklyn and raised in Oceanside. He left New York to complete his undergraduate education at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and returned to earn his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 1990.
He completed an internship and his chief residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens in 1995 and finished his training with a clinical fellowship in colorectal surgery under the supervision of Dr. Steven Wexner at the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, campus of the prestigious Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Sher is highly respected both nationally and internationally, with certifications by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He is an experienced laparoscopic surgeon performing in the top percentile of New York State. He’s also an active researcher in his field, authoring numerous articles, book chapters in respected publications such as “Annals of Surgery” and “Diseases of the Colon and Rectum.”
Dr. Sher is the leader and originator of the ever expanding practice, Progressive Surgical Care, which he solely formed in 1999. He is the acting surgical director of the Quad A New York State approved facility in New Hyde Park, New York.
He continues to train and mentor surgeons across the globe and is one of the pioneers of laparoscopic colon surgery. He performs more laparoscopic procedures on gallbladders and colons than most surgeons in New York State.
