Jack J. Farahi, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist who sees patients at Apex Cardiology Consultants, located in the Inglewood area of Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Farahi studied first at the University of Nevada in Reno, where he was on the Honor Roll and Dean’s List, and then at the University of California at Los Angeles’ Honor Division, where he received his undergraduate degree. He proceeded to work on his medical degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, before completing it at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Dr. Farahi won Outstanding Intern of the Year at Wadsworth VA Medical Center in Los Angeles during his internship, where he completed his residency and fellowship in internal medicine and cardiology respectively.

Dr. Yashar is based at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the Beverly Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, the very hospital where he was born. He also performs heart catheterization, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, as well as ablations for cardiac arrhythmia. All of his invasive procedures are performed at Cedars-Sinai, and diagnostic testing is undertaken either in office or with the utilization of remote testing whenever possible.
Today, Dr. Yashar is affiliated with the Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute, and the Preventive and Consultative Heart Center. He is a volunteer clinical instructor at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. In addition, he has the distinct honor of being voted one of Los Angeles Magazine's Top 100 Cardiologists. Dr. Sarsam received his medical education at the University of Baghdad / College of Medicine in Iraq. Following the second Gulf War, he moved to the United States and attended the Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency. He then completed his fellowship in General and Interventional Cardiology at Michigan State University / Providence Providence-Park Hospitals in Detroit, MI. Dr. Sarsam also specializes in advanced heart failure.
Arjun Makam, DO FACC, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and a partner physician of Makam Medical in Anaheim, California. He holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, adult echocardiography, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and clinical lipidology. With his medical expertise and modern approach to cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Makam ensures his patients receive the best cardiovascular care.
Dr. Makam completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. After graduating, he pursued his doctorate in osteopathic medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
Following this, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California and continued on as Chief resident of the program. His training aspiriations then took him to New Orleans, Louisiana where he completed fellowship in Cardiovascular disease at the John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, where he also served as Chief fellow of the program. He then returned to California to complete his training at Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center, where he completed advanced fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.
As a physician who strives to provide exceptional patient experiences, Dr. Makam can speak English, Spanish, and Telugu, and comfortably work with patients’ complex needs. With Anaheim being a central city attracting people from all around the world, he enjoys working with diverse patients of all backgrounds and ages.
