Following his training, Dr. Escobar began his medical career in Dallas, where he initially worked as an Instructor of Medicine and later as an attending physician at Baylor Hospital.

Dr. Galtes was born in Havana, Cuba, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Havana School of Medicine. Early in his education, he paid close attention to the importance of history taking and physical examination, as technological resources were scarce at that time.
