Dr. Ezeugwu is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in West Indies, Grenada. He went through his internship and residency training through Seton Hall University at St. Joseph Hospital in New Jersey.
To gain additional training and expertise in the field of cardiology and critical care medicine, Dr. Ezeugwu completed a competitive critical care fellowship programs at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, cardiology fellowship at University at Buffalo State University of New York, and interventional cardiology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He also acquired a PhD in health services from Walden University in Minneapolis.
Dr. Ezeugwu is board-certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in cardiovascular disease. He’s also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American College of Physicians (ACP).

In 2006, Dr. Ezeugwu directed Just Heart Cardiovascular Group Inc.’s implementation of a high-quality state-of-the-art electronic medical record program. Dr. Ezeugwu is the founder of Just Heart Help Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational scholarships to underprivileged students in the United States, Nigeria, and Zambia, to name a few.

Anita Banerjee, MD, FACC, is an experienced cardiology specialist at Premier Cardiac and Vascular in Annandale and Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is a female cardiologist and patient-centered physician who, instead of just prescribing medications, focuses on helping her patients make lifestyle changes to improve heart health.
After securing a scholarship and earning her medical degree from Odessa National Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine, Dr. Banerjee went on to complete her residency training in Internal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. She remained there to complete her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, specializing in Non-Invasive Cardiology. She also performed extensive research in Heart Failure under Drs. Thierry LeJemtel and Edmund Sonnenblick and has published in leading cardiology journals. She has been practicing cardiology for 16 years, 11 of which have been in the midst of the Fredericksburg community.
Dr. Banerjee provides comprehensive cardiology care, from prevention of cardiovascular disease to disease management of coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, valvular heart disease, as well as atrial fibrillation, aneurysms, and stroke. She has a special focus on the management of heart failure. She uses the latest advancements in medical technology to evaluate and optimize cardiovascular health.
She is certified in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Banerjee is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and holds a Virginia state medical license.
