After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University in 1994, Penny went on to earn her Masters in Science in Nursing from George Mason University in collaboration with the George Washington School of Medicine in 2001.

Dr. Charles Song brings extensive medical experience to his practice, Song Institute of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology in Manhattan Beach, California. He specializes in the complex diagnosis and treatment of allergies, while focusing on each individual and taking care to provide comprehensive care that improves their quality of life.
After receiving his medical degree from Northwestern Medical School, Dr. Song completed his residency at the University of Southern California, County Medical Center. From there he went on to finish his fellowship in allergy and immunology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Song is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Song describes his career as a happy marriage of private practice and academic pursuit. He has cared for thousands of satisfied patients across different specialties: general pediatrics, adult and pediatric allergy, and immunology. He has taught and trained many young physicians for more than two decades at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Although he has been involved in bench research, his true love lies in patient care and teaching. He’s thankful that his current practice offers him opportunities to pursue both lifelong passions.
Dr. Song has enjoyed living in the South Bay area since 1974 with his wife, his two (now grown) children, and two energetic grandchildren. He stays involved in the community in various roles, currently as a board member of Manhattan Beach School Health Advisory Board.
