Rafael Padro, DOM, AP, is a board-certified acupuncture physician at Mind & Soul Therapy & Acupuncture in Coral Gables, Florida. Dr. Padro combines traditional Chinese medicine (yin-yang, five elements, acupuncture) with Western medicine theories in his diagnoses and treatments.
Dr. Padro holds a master's degree in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and a bachelor's degree in health sciences from The Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami, Florida. He also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Excelsior College in Albany, New York.
Being a third-generation medical professional and learning the gratitude that is received when helping others, Dr. Padro knew what path he was going to follow. Even though his family’s background was more concentrated on a Western aspect of medicine, he knew he wanted to do something different.
While finishing his bachelor's degree in psychology, Dr. Padro introduced himself to oriental medicine. There, he realized there were other ways you could heal patients, regardless of their conditions, and that combining Eastern methods with Western methods could benefit a patient's recovery from any disease even more.
“Dr. Padro has the respectful, gentle presence of a healer. He is very professional and personable. I went for a prolozone therapy injection. Hopefully it will do the trick! ”
