Yong Shin was raised with many physicians in his family, his father being an ENT(otolaryngologist) physician who inspired him to be a healthcare professional. Yong had a special interest in holistic medicine since college. He started his career as herbs and supplements consultant. Soon he earned the acupuncture and herbs degree in California. After graduation, he was trained for many pain symptoms and treatments under Eastern and Western doctors. Yong firmly believes that acupuncture can be the missing puzzle piece of the pain management for clients that are seeking a breakthrough solution.
“Dr. Shin is very thorough and patient. He truly takes his time to listen to you. He practices with the level of compassion, empathy, respect, & kindness that I wish all doctors would embrace. Each review on Google is spot on and I will join everyone else in saying you won’t regret coming to this practice. The staff at the front desk are very kind as well. The moment you walk into the office, the energy is calm and soothing. I’m happy I chose them to be a part of my healing journey!”

After exploring its benefits as a patient, he decided to pursue a career path in service to the health and wellbeing of others. He received a B.A. in Psychology from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN, and a Master's of Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. Robb also completed a course of study at Henan University of Chinese Medicine in Zhengzhou, China. He lives in Richmond with his wife Emily and spirited rescue dog Indie Anna. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and gardening.
“I have had positive and negative prior experiences with other acupuncture providers, and I was thoroughly pleased with my experience, with the quality of the clinical care as well as the administrative staff’s demeanor and professionalism.”
