Tebra launches Streamlined Problem Search to support EHR efficiency

Updates simplify ICD-10 code search and documentation, to give time back to providers

Tebra is excited to announce a new Streamlined Problem Search workflow for charting and documentation in our EHR. This tool allows providers to quickly search for and document health-related issues and conditions in patients. These can include symptoms, acute conditions, chronic conditions, and other health concerns.

This workflow is crucial for maintaining a comprehensive record of all patient health issues and tracking the management or resolution of each problem.

Many providers have reported that the problem search workflow has slowed them down and increased documentation time. They’ve cited click fatigue and issues finding the pertinent ICD-10 code and often default to Google to find the associated code.

Key benefits

To improve this experience and help providers reduce their documentation time, we’ve made the following updates to the problem search workflow:

  • Eliminated ICD-9 codes from problem search
  • Revamped and prioritized the ICD-10 codes vs. conditions search to better align with providers’ preferred workflow
  • Updated our search logic to allow searching without periods to speed up your search. For example, search for J018 instead of J01.8/
  • Updated Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine (SNOMED) field name for more accurate representation
  • Enabled automatic saving of your ICD-10 to SNOMED mapping to save time for future searches

Why this matters

Many providers have reported that the previous problem search workflow slowed them down and increased documentation time. Click fatigue and difficulty finding the pertinent ICD-10 code often led providers to default to Google for a solution. Our new updates address these issues directly, and reduces the problem search workflow time by 20%.
